Today, I am going to be sharing about the WPS Student Led Toolkits we had last week which was STEM Week, you could be wondering, what does STEM stand for? It stands for Science Technology Engineering Maths. There were 24 people that were presenting their own toolkit, and there were 12 toolkits, each toolkit was been presented by 2 or 3 people. Before the Student Led Toolkits that happened on Friday last week, we had a google form to fill in, and the Student Led toolkits was only for the Middles and Seniors, and Presenters only for the seniors. We had to fill in our name and tick the three toolkits you want to choose to learn about. The toolkits I chose were 1 = Google Maps, 2 = Word Art, 3 = Webcam Toy. Now lets talk about our toolkits.
1 = Google Maps
We did Google maps for our first toolkit. The 2 presenters were Daniel and Mahdi, we did a Sandpit challenge that was to make the longest drive from Auckland to Nelson to Christchurch in 15 min, mine was 41 hrs and 2,616 km. Here is a link to Google Maps maps.google.com and if it comes up with a notice, just press the 1st link.
2 = Word Art
We did Word art for our second toolkit. The 2 Presenters were Vivian and Hazel, we did a Sandpit Challenge that was to make the most Word arts in 15 min, I made it to 3. Here is a link to word art wordart.com
3 = Webcam Toy
We did Webcam Toy for our last toolkit. The 2 Presenters were Daiki and Dustine, they did not have a Sandpit challenge but we only get to have fun on webcam toy, there were cool effects like fire pic and a lot more. Here is a link to Webcam Toy webcamtoy.com
Overall, I think it was very cool and fun to learn these type of toolkits. Here is some pictures of the Toolkits. Blog you later!
