Privet SLJ!! (hello in Russian.)
Today I am going to share about a Haiku Poem in the SLJ today.
If you don't know what a Haiku Poem is, well that means that you might be ??
It's quite simple, So when you are writing a Haiku Poem, it has 3 lines, the first line is a poem with 5 syllables, the second line is with 7 syllables, and then the last line is with 5 syllables and it is all about the nature.
If you are still confused, here is a step by step video on YouTube <-click on this link.
I would try this out most likely because it is a cool type of poem that you can learn at home or at school, or share it for the SLJ.
Before I thought to make a blog about a Haiku Poem for the SLJ.
Here is my Haiku Poem I am going to share!!
Hey Shreyas,
ReplyDeleteI’m Daniel from the SLJ Blog commenting team. I’m looking forward to seeing all your amazing blog posts and I hope you’re enjoying your summer too.
Great start on the ‘Kick start’ portion of the Haiku activity. Your poem has a nice simple story and has quite a nice rhythm to it. And very helpful of you to include a guide and link to a video to help others make a haiku too.
You might want to have another look at the instructions or check out the video you linked to again because your poem is not quite right. You have five syllables in the first line which is perfect but then the next line also has five and the final has 3. So your poem goes 5,5,3 instead of a haiku which goes 5,7,5.
You’ve made a great start on it though and I’d love to see how you finish off and find new words to get four more syllables.
See you later in the comments.
Daniel
